RISE-MH Events : Senior Scholars and Works in Progress

RISE-MH invites nationally known senior scholars to discuss their mental health research in Senior Scholars. These events are held in person at the Cathedral of Learning.

Twice monthly Works in Progress is where scholars discuss their work and get feedback, and these events are held via Zoom. These are held on Fridays from noon to 1 pm.

April 26, 2024 - Dr. Lakeya McGill
Impact of Intersectional stigma and discrimination on pain-related Outcomes in Adults with Sickle Cell Disease.

Dr. Lakeya McGill is an assistant professor of medicine, clinical community psychologist, and CHAMPP Center core faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine. Her current research focuses on discovering knowledge that promotes equitable pain care for all patients, including adults with sickle cell disease (SCD).
