RISE-MH derives from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Social Work, the site of one of the first NIMH-funded Centers for Mental Health Services Research, and carries forward the School’s longstanding commitment to this work.

Expansive interest in mental health services research led to RISE-MH and its interdisciplinary, community-facing structure. We aim to support rigorous research addressing real-world complexities and fully involving community partners.
