RISE-MH work in this area focuses on understanding and transforming outcomes for youth and adults with conditions typically understood as ‘SED/SMI’ and/or co-occurring mental illness and substance use. Faculty within the School bring major strengths in intervention development and testing as well as applied services and policy research, including work focused on the intersections between public sector mental health and substance use services and criminal legal, broader healthcare, income-based benefits, and housing systems.
