Building Family Protective Factors through a Community-based Maltreatment Prevention Program: The Evaluation of the Family Success Network (FSN)

This study examines the effects of the Family Success Network (FSN) on family protective factors and maltreatment risk. FSN is a multi-component Community-based Maltreatment Prevention Program that is being piloted in under-resourced counties in Ohio, which incorporates tailored services according to the family needs, including parenting education, financial literacy, and life skills training, concrete support, and home visits.  It is built upon the core principles of family engagement embedded within the family coaching model.

Funding Sources: Children’s Bureau, Administration for Children and Families and the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund

Collaborators: Ohio State University (Lead Evaluator), Case Western Reserve University
